Skin Boosters (hyaluronic acid-based fluid products) have a shelf life of around 6 months. Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that can be absorbed by the body. The body slowly breaks down hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic fillers last between 9 and 24 months, depending on the degree of fluidity (rheology) of the filler used and the area injected.

Hybrid fillers like Karisma show slower results (over several months) and can last up to 2 years.

Swelling, redness and bruising may occur at the injection site, but these are temporary and will disappear after a few days.

Nodules and inflammation are possible. Complications such as vascular occlusion, necrosis and blindness have been described with the use of dermal fillers, but are extremely rare.

A detailed knowledge of anatomy, a conservative amount of the right product and the correct injection technique make dermal fillers very safe and effective products for natural, harmonious facial rejuvenation.

During a consultation, the patient's wishes and needs are discussed. Following the examination and medical opinion, a treatment plan is defined in consultation with the patient. In most cases, treatment can take place on the same day as the consultation. The skin is marked with a pen and carefully disinfected. Sensitive areas can be numbed beforehand with a skin numbing cream. Treatment is performed using needles or foam cannulas, depending on the area and indication.

Safety is always the top priority. After weight-bearing treatment, no rest time is generally required. Sun exposure and strenuous physical exertion should be avoided for 48 hours. If a hematoma or swelling of the skin occurs, it usually disappears within 7 to 10 days. Patients are informed of the specific procedure after their individual filling treatment.
